CALL FOR PAPERS Workshop on Graph Matching and Pattern Recognition (08) To be held along with the 7th Mexican International Conference on Artificial Intelligence (MICAI 2008), October 27-31, 2008, Mexico City, Mexico This workshop is intended as a forum for discussion, exchange of points of view, assessment of results and methods, and as a source of dissemination and promotion of the newest advances in the area of Graph Matching and Pattern Recognition. It will focus on the combined field of Graph Matching and Pattern Recognition. These two research fields have always been overlapping, but the large volumes of pattern recognition expertise necessitate advanced techniques and efficient algorithms for graph matching. The workshop will bring together researchers and students from around the world to discuss, encourage and exchange ideas and experiences on different topics of graph matching and pattern recognition, as well as promote novel applications in an attempt to extend the frontiers of these two fascinating fields of research. The workshops will comprise of oral presentations and panel discussions. Topics of interest include, but are not limited * Graph Matching Techniques and Algorithms * Pattern Representation and Modelling * Visual Pattern Modelling * Object Detection, Tracking and Recognition * Statistical Motion Analysis * Spatial-Temporal Pattern Analysis and Recognition * Scalable Image and Video Coding Submission Requirements: Interested authors should submit their paper in PDF or MS Word format by email to Jixin Ma. Springer LNCS format guidelines should be followed for submission of papers to the workshop, even though the book (with its own ISBN) will be published by another publisher. Page limit is 10 pages per paper. Important Dates: Submission deadline: August 31, 2008 Acceptance notification date: September 19, 2008 Final date for camera-ready copy: September 26, 2008
